Dermaplaning Facial
Dermaplaning Facial
Dermaplaning is a cosmetic procedure used to exfoliate the skin and remove fine vellus hair, commonly known as "peach fuzz." It involves the use of a sterile surgical scalpel to gently scrape the surface of the skin, removing dead skin cells and fine hairs. It can help improve the texture and appearance of the skin, leaving it smoother and brighter. Dermaplaning is often used to address concerns such as dullness, rough texture, and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It can also enhance the penetration and effectiveness of skincare products by removing the barrier of dead skin cells.
What you can anticipate following your treatment:
● 1 Week: Redness and swelling diminish. Temporary changes like enlarged pores or small whiteheads may appear, typically resolving as swelling decreases. Avoid shaving the treated area.
● 2 Weeks: A scab may form and eventually shed off. Skin may feel tight, pink, and possibly itchy. Most can return to work, but avoid strenuous activities.
● 4–6 Weeks: Gradually reintegrate into sports or activities, but be cautious of sun exposure.
● 6–12 Months: Continue sun avoidance until the treated area matches your natural skin tone.
